O Litter - August 11, 2016

Outlander “O” Litter – Born August 11, 2016

All puppies are sold.

This was a planned first time breeding of our Outlanders Made of Honor (Matey) our Honor daughter. She has been sort of neglected on the training and testing front here as our time has been very busy with family and moving. However, we will be running her in NAVHDA Utility in 2017. She is stellar as a hunting dog. She has proven herself a great wild bird dog and waterfowl dog. From Montana Sharptail, Hun, and Pheasant…to Wyoming ducks, geese, pheasant, chukar, hun and pheasant. She is a natural backer, her search is as big or small as the field and birds dictate, she absolutely loves water, and has a beautiful and intense style on point…plus she will track a wounded bird as long as it takes showing a concentration and dedication to the scent that I have rarely seen. It is interesting that she has become my number one tracker as she did not do it as a young dog in her Natural Ability test. All 4’s (highest score) in everything else though. She is an easy traveler and great house dog.

We chose to breed Matey for her first breeding to VC Garbonita Augustin Edelweiss, MH. We chose Augie to complement Matey and to build on our lines. Augie’s grandmother and Matey’s grandmother are littermates and out of the very successful cross of VC Jacob vom Westwind, MH (double Hustler grandson owned by Fred Rice of Sundance GSP) and Indian Brooks Hustlen Crystal, UT PZI, MH (Hustler daughter). We hope to bring forth and keep alive that just plain old solid work ethic and bird craziness foundation that makes dogs from these lines the epitomy of a great dog for the average hunter and the NAVHDA German Shorthaired Pointer.
